Crail - The Future Design Competition

Crail’s entry to ‘The Future Town Design Competition’, submitted by the Crail Community Partnership, has been shortlisted for the competition. The judges have commended the positive work and design vision showcased in the submission. The focus of the entry was the much needed improvement of High Street and Marketgate.

The general aim of the entry is to make this area more user friendly, to improve the environment and to develop events and activities to encourage year round tourism and business. This is linked to a campaign to “Use your local businesses”. In addition a coordinated plan for the future of our community buildings is being carried out— The Partnership is in process of a community buy-out of the Community Hall and other land areas. Several businesses are already committing to improvements.

Voting for the competition will take place over Scotland's Towns Week, 18 - 24 November, and entries will be displayed at Scotland's Towns Conference, Aberdeen on 20th November. It is intended to announce the winner on Wednesday 27th November.
