Crail Community Hall receives National Lottery Funding

With the help of The National Lottery, and all the players contributing to it, Crail Community Partnership was able to make another big step in upgrading Crail Community Hall. The money awarded is used for new curtains for stage, windows and decorative purposes. The work is well under way and community groups as well as private users will benefit from a much-enhanced appearance of the hall. Especially couples who have booked the hall for their wedding will find a more stylish and elegant venue, making their special day even more memorable.

The National Lottery Community Fund, Scotland Chair, Kate Still said: “Every day National Lottery funding is changing the lives of thousands of people in communities across Scotland. This project delivered by Crail Community Partnership, is a great example of community activity in action, showing just what can be achieved when people come together for a common cause or to help others.

National Lottery players can be proud to know that the money they raise is helping to support this vital work which is making a real difference to so many.”

Crail Community Hall would not be able to make all the necessary improvements to an old and iconic building in Crail, benefiting the whole community without the support from The National Lottery Fund.

Crail Community Hall Manager, Dennis Gowans, commented: “We are highly appreciative of the money that has been granted to us. The ever-expanding use of the hall by community groups and through private functions, concerts, theatre, markets and festivals shows that the hall is an essential part of community life in Crail, which we need to cherish and maintain.”
